A Free Museum Stop at Bowling Green

Looking for a downtown plan that leaves room in your budget? Consider the National Museum of the American Indian at One Bowling Green in Manhattan’s Financial District.

Admission is free, and no tickets or reservations are needed for a general visit. The museum is open daily from 10 AM to 5 PM, New York time, except December 25.

For the weekend of November 7–8, make it a relaxed stop with a friend or a solo afternoon exploring Native history and culture inside the historic Alexander Hamilton U.S. Custom House.

Bring headphones if you’d like to use the museum’s free English or Spanish audio guide. Before heading out, check the official visitor page for current notices and any separate arrangements for special programs.

Save this for your next downtown afternoon.
